Privacy policy
This policy explains what AFZ Appliance Repair collects through afzappliancerepair.com, how we use it and the choices you have. We are an independent appliance repair company based in College Park, Maryland.
What we collect
- Service requests. When you use our request form, we receive your name and phone number, your ZIP code, the appliance, its brand and problem, and when you need the repair. You may also give us your email, street address, written details and a photo.
- Calls and emails. If you call or email us, we receive your number or address and what you tell us.
- Website records. Like most websites, our hosting and network providers may record technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages you open. To limit form abuse, the form also keeps a scrambled version of your IP address for a short time.
What we do not use
This website does not set advertising or visitor tracking cookies, and it does not use a visitor tracking tool. If you add AFZ to your phone, it saves only a small offline screen and our styles, nothing about you. If that changes, we will update this page. The search box and form only use what you type to find your page or send your request.
How we use your information
- To contact you by phone, text or email about your repair.
- To schedule and carry out the repair, and to keep our business records.
- To keep the website and form working and protected from abuse.
Who receives it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, with the companies that provide our website hosting and email, currently Hostinger and Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy, and when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Requests arrive in our email, and a private copy is saved on our website server. We keep them as long as we need them to handle your request and maintain our business records.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we have about you, or to stop contacting you. Email info@afzappliancerepair.com or call (240) 758-5566.
Security
Our website uses a secure connection, and we limit where request copies are stored. No website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or passwords through the form.
Other websites
Our pages link to other websites, such as government safety pages, appliance makers and our Thumbtack, Yelp and Facebook pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies.
Children
Our services and request form are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
