Most often it cannot drain, or it has detected an unbalanced load. A clogged pump filter, a kinked hose or a door lock fault can all stop the cycle.
Why is my dryer running but not getting hot?
On electric models the usual causes are a thermal fuse, the heating element or a tripped breaker. On gas models check the igniter and gas valve coils. Clear the vent as well, because restricted airflow is what blows many thermal fuses.
Why is there water left in the bottom of my dishwasher?
A little around the filter is normal. Standing water above the filter means a drain problem, most often a clogged filter, a kinked hose or a failed pump.
Why does my gas oven take so long to heat or never light?
A weak igniter can glow but not draw enough current to open the gas valve. It is one of the most common gas oven repairs.
Why does my gas stove keep clicking?
Moisture is the most common reason, often from a spill or from cleaning. Let the burner dry. If the clicking continues on all burners, a spark switch or module may have failed.

Is it safe to use a microwave with a damaged door?
No. Stop using it if the door is bent, the hinges are loose or the latch does not close firmly.
Why did my ice maker stop after I changed the filter?
Air in the line, or a filter that is not fully seated, can stop the water. Reseat it and run a few gallons through the dispenser.
